"E.2010 - Power to Energetika" - the online game for the Year of Science 2010

By order of takomat GmbH, RockAByte developed - in close cooperation with takomat - an online simulation game around the topics energy supply and effective resource usage. The idea for the game was conceived by takomat and the DIALOGIK institute for the German Ministry of Education and Research on the occasion of the Year of Science 2010.
The player controls the fate of the fictitious state Energetika until the year 2050. The energy mix of the country has to be changed in a way that the energy supply is ensured and at the same time social, economic end ecological interests are balanced. To reach this goal, the player can - among other things - build, upgrade and dismantele powerplants, research new technologies and start educational campaigns.
This exciting and realistic simulation imparts the current state of knowledge around the topic energy to the user while playing.
